BEFORE WE BEGIN:

Submit a request.

 ☐ Send your upline or admin a text message to join the team. Please include your:

  1. FULL legal name (First, Middle, Last),

  2. Best email,

  3. Phone number,

  4. Current City & State,

  5. and National Producer Number (NPN) .

Your upline or Contracting Manager will register you under our Hierarchy Compensation Management System (HCMS). Once registered, You will receive 3 emails:

  1. Your HCMS Account setup link

  2. Your personalized link to SureLC/SuranceBay (contracting request platform)

  3. A "Welcome To The Team" email to join our New Agent Training email series, and social media invites (Slack, Instagram, & Facebook)

**NOTE: All new agent requests are time-sensitive, and will expire in 48 hours.

Please finish ASAP so your profile does not expire.

Step 1: Create HCMS profile

**Check your spam if you don’t see it in your primary email.

Please have the following ready to complete your profile:

  • Your National Producer Number

  • EIN (only if the contracting entity is “a business”).

  • Direct Upline’s Name (example: Arthur Forrest)

Once completed, you will receive another email with a link to the SureLC contracting system.

Step 2: Complete your SureLC Account

Check your email for another email used to start your SureLC account.

Your profile will syndicate your information over to all the carriers- so you don’t have to fill out the same questions over…and over, again.

Please make sure all of your information is correct before submission.

✅ Choose your E&O Insurance (Required) 

This is MANDATORY for ALL agents; E&O insurance is used for any malpractice lawsuits (Protection if a client tries to sue you).

After you create your profile, select NEWLY LICENSED L&H AGENT

  • Select $0-$100,000 Net Revenues

  • $1 Million per claim / $3 Million annual aggregate

  • Select Option A: Life, accident, health, LTC, disability, including Medicare Advantage & Medicare Supplements, employee benefit administration

    • Select Option “B” if you want to sell Annuities out of the Gate


✅ Now, Complete Your SURELC (SuranceBay) Profile.

Your SureLC login information is found in your welcome emails

  • On your SuranceBay profile, upload your:

    • Personal Information (including Beneficiary to your business)

    • & Voided check or a Bank statement with account number displayed (for direct deposits from the carriers ).

    • State Drivers License

    • National Producer Number (NIPR.com to lookup)

    • SKIP FINRA - not needed

    • 7 years of work History (put “Student” if job history doesn’t reach 7 years)

    • E&O Insurance - Submit a Screenshot of new coverage.

  • After every selection is filled out, finish “Contracting Requests”

    Request ALL 4 Carriers:

    • Americo

    • AmericanAmicable,

    • Corebridge (AIG)

    • & Mutual of Omaha

After 1 Week has passed:

Start checking on your status with the remaining carriers for at least a week. It wouldn’t hurt to call the carriers individually to ask for the status and ask if they can expedite the process for you. Sometimes you get lucky and find the right person to help you out right then and there.

 ⭐️ Contracting “Currently At” Statuses:

Your Initial Contract Request Status Should Read “At BGA”.

We Need the Carrier Status to be “At Carrier”.

  • BGA: Pending. Check SuranceBay for contracting updates DAILY with each carrier.

  • Carrier: Good Job, you have done it correctly and your contract has been sent to our home office. Writing numbers coming shortly.

  • Producer: Not Good, FFL home office has found an error with your application. Address the error, then resubmit.

  • Discarded: Locate the reason, and email: hiring@fflcareers.com for help, or text ARI at (702)573-6886.

✅ Step 3: Complete & Submit Anti-Money Laundering Course (AML)

Your “AML” course will be found in your SureLC account under the “C.E. and Training” tab.

  • Takes about 15-20 minutes to complete.

  • (This is required once you start receiving writing numbers; MUST BE FINISHED IN ORDER to receive commissions.)

*LIMRA AML assistance video found above.

  • This course is FREE and should take 15-20 minutes to complete.

    • You can not fail the course, you must retake the questions until you are correct.

Upload your AML (Anti-Money Laundering) certificate into SureLC under “CE & Training Section” once you finish the courses.

 

✅ LAST STEP: log Back into your HCMS account.

Request Aetna, Ethos, and Great Western

** Must FINISH SureLC/SuranceBay requirements and submit requests to the 4 carriers on SureLC before going back into HCMS to request Aetna and AmAm.

Log into your HCMS Account: HERE

  • ➡️Click: Requests

  • ➡️ Add Requests

  • ➡️ New Carrier Request

  • ➡️ New Carrier

  • ➡️Request both Aetna/CVS, ETHOS, and Great Western

*Reminder to those switching insurance companies to work with Family First Life:

*Please Terminate Your Previous Contracts*

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If you were previously appointed with Mutual of Omaha or Americo with a different company/IMO then follow these steps to avoid issues.  Regardless if you wrote business or not.  If you were not previously appointed with these companies then ignore this section.

  1. Americo – Send Americo Contracting an email terminating your contract and producer # with your previous company.  800.231.0801.  

    • Find out from Americo when you are clear to submit a new appointment request with FFL.

  2. Mutual of Omaha – FFL can not assist you with this as this relates to your contract and agreement with your previous company.  Your FFL manager and contracting department are not authorized to change your previous agreement – only you can do this.

 Let your Upline and Contracting manager know when you have uploaded all required information, and completed all steps for HCMS and SureLC registration.

  Follow up with each carrier in 5 business days after your Contract Request changed to " At Carrier" Status 

 
  • Verify they have all your contracting paperwork and that there are no outstanding requirements with SureLC

  • Call each carrier every working day after the first week- stay on top to expedite the process!

    • Carrier contact info can be found: HERE

  • Keep an eye on contracting links from the carriers

  • Make sure to look in your SPAM and Promotional folders of your email if the carriers say they sent your information already.

** Create a username and password for every carrier as you get the back office welcome email.

The Calm Before the Storm…

✅ As you wait for your writing numbers to start coming in:

  • Start the FFL Bootcamp while you are waiting for writing numbers

  • Complete (carrier usernames/passwords) as soon as you receive welcome emails .

  • Order Marketing supplies directly from the carriers (Brochures, Trifolds, and Folders are free).

  • Become familiar with all Carrier’s eApps to submit business.

    REMEMBER: you DO NOT have to wait for ALL of your Writing numbers to start writing.

  • As long as you have Americo, Prosperity, and/or Aetna… you can start ASAP.

✅ Ask Manager/Upline for FamilyFirstLife.com login (Agent CRM).

  • Your contracting manager or upline will need to generate an access code.

  • After it has been requested, check your email with a heading that says

    “Welcome to Family First Life”. It will have the code for your familyfirstlife.com login.

  • After you get access to the FFL website, Go to www.familyfirstlife.com to begin.

    • This is where you will purchase your leads.

    • You can access your Year-to-Date, Agency production, and sort purchased leads from the CRM.

✅ Get all Materials Needed for In-Home Appointments

  • We wear very business casual attire. (Polo, Golf pants, black shoes) Do not overdress.

  • Purchase a Name-tag and lanyard for in-home appointments. ($15)

  • Use an iPad (preferably with Apple Pencil) / Tablet / Laptop with a touchscreen

  • Get a HOTSPOT from your wireless provider to submit E-Apps.

  • Bring a portable charger for long travel days.

  • Make sure to have multiple copies of your Financial Inventory available.

    • Make a spiral-bound notebook with Financial Inventories together or download the digital version on your iPad for any time, anywhere access.

  • Bring Cheat Sheets and Medical Checklist for underwriting assistance.
